St. Louis Wins Again!

I read that St. Louis edged Detroit as the most dangerous city in the United States.

First, the World Series. Now this.

Detroit must be very embarrassed.

I heard that, too. Just the headline, though. What’s up? Are they counting East St. Louis’s crime numbers with St. Louis’s own?

    That’s all I saw, too…

I did see briefly this morning that St. Louis govt leaders were pitching a fit about it – arguing against the data.

I did notice that the top 4 were: St. Louis, Detroit, Flint, then Compton, CA. And that New Orleans wasn’t included in the list at all because it’s police dept didn’t report any numbers. Wonder what they’ve been doing instead of paperwork?!?!

  3. Terry Austin Says:

David Eckstein was responsible for a series of small, annoying misdemeanors, and was released when his parents came to the police station.

Don’t be obtuse, Ange. I hate it when you’re obtuse.

Here’s the AP story. And here’s the first sentence from said story:

Mayor Francis Slay said a research company is dead wrong to call St. Louis the most dangerous city in the United States.

Could the mayor be any more unfortunately named?

  6. Michael Lasley Says:

And could he have used a worse phrase to refute the claim that his city is dangerous: “Dead” wrong?
